N a, tena ra, homai aianei he utu pupuri ki toku ariki, ki te kingi o Ahiria, a ka hoatu e ahau etahi hoiho ki a koe, kia rua mano, ki te taea e koe te whakanoho he kaieke ki runga ki a ratou.

Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
