K o te tangata e haere ana i runga i te tika, he tika ano ana korero; ko te tangata e whakahawea ana ki nga taonga o te tukino, e rukerukea ana e tona ringa te utu whakapati; e punia ana ona taringa kei rangona he korero toto, e whakamoe ana i on a kanohi kei kite i te kino;

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
