T ena ko taku iwi, he tamariki o ratou kaitukino, he wahine hoki e kingi ana mo ratou. E taku iwi, ko ou kaiarahi kei te whakapohehe i a koe, kei te whakakahore hoki i te tikanga o ou huarahi.

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
