K o o ratou whitiki i o ratou ara he kakahu taratara: ka aue ratou katoa i runga i o ratou whare, i o ratou waharoa, nui atu te tangi.

In their streets they have dressed themselves with cloth made from hair. On the tops of their houses and in their open spaces everyone is crying with many tears.
