K a tapoko ahau ki te oru hohonu, ki te wahi kahore nei he tunga: kua tae ahau ki nga wai hohonu, ngaro iho ahau i nga waipuke.

Nas profundezas lamacentas eu me afundo; não tenho onde firmar os pés. Entrei em águas profundas; as correntezas me arrastam.
