K ei rite koutou ki te hoiho, ki te muera ranei, kahore nei he matauranga; he mea kuku nei o raua kauae ki te paraire, ki te moka hei pupuri mai; ki te kore hoki, e kore e tata ki a koe.

Don’t be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
