K o te atawhai moku, ko toku pa, ko toku pourewa me toku kaiwhakaora; ko toku whakangungu rakau, ko taku e whakawhirinaki ai; ko te kaipehi hoki o toku iwi ki raro i ahau.

My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
