A ka maha nga ra, ka taea te mutunga o nga tau e rua, ka puta ona whekau ki waho, na tona mate hoki, a mate iho ia, he kino ona mate; kahore hoki a tona iwi tahunga mona pera me te tahunga mo ona matua.

And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness; so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like they had done for his fathers.
