N a ka mea ia ki a ia, Kihai ianei toku ngakau i haere tahi me koe, i te tahuritanga mai o taua tangata i runga i tona hariata ki te whakatau i a koe? He wa ianei tenei mo te tango moni, mo te tango kakahu, mara oriwa, mara waina, hipi, kau, pono nga tane, pononga wahine ranei?

And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?
