N a ka mea tera ki a ia, Ko te kupu tenei a Ihowa, Kua tukua atu nei i roto i tou ringa taku tangata i tukua putia atu nei e ahau ki te mate; na ko tou matenga hei ritenga mo tona matenga, me tou iwi hei utu mo tona iwi.

He said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Because you have let go out of your hand the man whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.’”
