N a ka korero ratou ki a ia, ka mea, Ki te mea hei pononga koe ma tenei iwi i tenei ra, a ka mahi ki a ratou, a ka pai nga korero e korerotia e koe ki a ratou, na ko ratou hei pononga mau i nga ra katoa.

And they spoke unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a slave unto this people this day and wilt serve them and answer them by speaking good words unto them, then they will be thy slaves for ever.
