N a ka korero ki a ia nga taitama i kaumatua ngatahi me ia, ka mea, Kia penei tau ki atu ki tenei hunga i korero nei ki a koe, i mea nei, I whakataimahatia e tou papa to matou ioka, na kia mama tau ki a matou; kia penei tau ki atu ki a ratou, Ko toku maikara iti nui ke atu i te hope o toku papa.

And the young men that were grown up with him spoke unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spoke unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them: My little finger is thicker than my father’s loins.
