N au nei hoki, e Ihowa o nga mano, e te Atua o Iharaira, i whakapuaki mai ki tau pononga, i mea, Ka hanga e ahau he whare mou: koia te ngakau o tau pononga i anga ai ki te inoi i tenei inoi ki a koe.

For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.
