K ahore tetahi i roto i tenei whare e nui ake i ahau; kahore ano hoki i kaiponuhia e ia tetahi mea ki ahau, ko koe anake, no te mea ko tana wahine koe: na, me pehea e mahi ai ahau i tenei kino nui, e hara ai ki te Atua?

There is no one more important in this house than I. And he has held nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do this sinful thing, and sin against God?”
