A ka mea ia, He aha te taunaha e hoatu e ahau ki a koe? Ka mea ia, Ko tou hiri, me au tau, me tau tokotoko i tou ringa. Na ka hoatu e ia ki a ia, a ka haere atu ia ki a ia, a ka hapu ia i a ia.

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet and thy cord, and thy staff that is in thy hand. And he gave them to her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
