E lkana, ihr Mann, sprach zu ihr: So tue, wie dir's gefällt: bleib, bis du ihn entwöhnst; der HERR bestätige aber was er geredet hat. Also blieb das Weib und säugte ihren Sohn, bis daß sie ihn entwöhnte,

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only Jehovah establish his word. So the woman tarried and gave her son suck, until she weaned him.
