D enn da Josua und das ganze Israel sah, daß der Hinterhalt die Stadt gewonnen hatte, weil der Stadt Rauch aufging, kehrten sie wieder um und schlugen die Männer von Ai.

Now when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city and that the smoke of the city ascended, they turned back and struck down the men of Ai.
