A ber die Männer jagten ihnen nach auf dem Wege zum Jordan bis an die Furt; und man schloß das Tor zu, da die hinaus waren, die ihnen nachjagten.

So the men pursued them to the Jordan as far as the fords. As soon as the pursuers had gone, the city’s gate was shut.
