J osua aber, der Sohn Nuns, hatte zwei Kundschafter heimlich ausgesandt von Sittim und ihnen gesagt: Geht hin, beseht das Land und Jericho. Die gingen hin und kamen in das Haus einer Hure, die hieß Rahab, und kehrten zu ihr ein.

Joshua son of Nun sent two men secretly from Shittim as scouts, saying, Go, view the land, especially Jericho. And they went and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab and lodged there.
