U nd das alles geschah also von dem HERRN, daß ihr Herz verstockt würde, mit Streit zu begegnen den Kindern Israel, auf daß sie verbannt würden und ihnen keine Gnade widerführe, sondern vertilgt würden, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.

For it was of Jehovah to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
