D a erfuhr viel Volks der Juden, daß er daselbst war; und sie kamen nicht um Jesu willen allein, sondern daß sie auch Lazarus sähen, welchen er von den Toten auferweckt hatte.

Many Jews came to the place because they knew Jesus was there. They came not only to see Jesus, but to see Lazarus also. Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead.
