U nd so sprecht ihr: "Warum das?" Darum daß der HERR zwischen dir und dem Weibe deiner Jugend Zeuge war, die du verachtest, so sie doch deine Gesellin und ein Weib deines Bundes ist.

Yet ye say, Why? Because the LORD has been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously; yet she is thy companion and the wife of thy covenant.
