d er rief überlaut und sprach also: Haut den Baum um und behaut ihm die Äste und streift ihm das Laub ab und zerstreut seine Früchte, daß die Tiere, so unter ihm liegen, weglaufen und die Vögel von seinen Zweigen fliehen.

He cried aloud and said thus: ‘Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, And the birds from its branches.
