a uf daß ich den Eid halten möge, den ich euren Vätern geschworen habe, ihnen zu geben ein Land, darin Milch und Honig fließt, wie es denn heutigestages steht. Ich antwortete und sprach: HERR, ja, es sei also!

that I may confirm the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, that I would give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then I answered, and said, Amen, O LORD.
