S o spricht der HERR: Wo ist der Scheidebrief eurer Mutter, mit dem ich sie entlassen hätte? Oder wer ist mein Gläubiger, dem ich euch verkauft hätte? Siehe, ihr seid um eurer Sünden willen verkauft, und eure Mutter ist um eures Übertretens willen entlassen.

Thus says the Lord, “Where is the certificate of divorce By which I have sent your mother away? Or to whom of My creditors did I sell you? Behold, you were sold for your iniquities, And for your transgressions your mother was sent away.
