A ber sie wurden ungehorsam und widerstrebten dir und warfen dein Gesetz hinter sich zurück und erwürgten deine Propheten, die ihnen zeugten, daß sie sollten sich zu dir bekehren, und taten große Lästerungen.

Yet they were disobedient and rebelled against You and cast Your law behind their back and killed Your prophets who accused and warned them to turn to You again; and they committed great and contemptible blasphemies.
