D er Gott aber, der seinen Namen daselbst wohnen läßt, bringe um alle Könige und jegliches Volk, das seine Hand ausreckt, daran zu ändern und zu brechen das Haus Gottes in Jerusalem. Ich, Darius, habe dies befohlen, daß es mit Fleiß getan werde.

And God, who caused His name to dwell there, doth cast down any king and people that putteth forth his hand to change, to destroy this house of God that in Jerusalem; I Darius have made a decree; speedily let it be done.'
