E r sprach: Du sollst sie nicht schlagen. Schlägst du denn die, welche du mit deinem Schwert und Bogen gefangen hast? Setze ihnen Brot und Wasser vor, daß sie essen und trinken, und laß sie zu ihrem Herrn ziehen!

And he said, Thou shalt not smite: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.
