U nd Jojakim gab das Silber und das Gold Pharao. Doch schätzte er das Land, daß es solches Silber gäbe nach Befehl Pharaos; einen jeglichen nach seinem Vermögen schätzte er am Silber und Gold unter dem Volk im Lande, daß er es dem Pharao Necho gäbe.

So Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh. But he taxed the land to give Pharaoh the money he wanted. He took the silver and gold from the people of the land, from each one by the amount of tax he was made to pay. And he gave it to Pharaoh Neco.
