U nd der König zog hin mit seinen Männern gen Jerusalem wider die Jebusiter, die im Lande wohnten. Sie aber sprachen zu David: Du wirst nicht hier hereinkommen, sondern Blinde und Lahme werden dich abtreiben. Damit meinten sie aber, daß David nicht würde dahinein kommen.

Now the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, and they said to David, “You shall not come in here, but the blind and lame will turn you away”; thinking, “David cannot enter here.”
