A lso legte sich Amnon und stellte sich krank. Da nun der König kam, ihn zu besuchen, sprach Amnon zum König: Laß doch meine Schwester Thamar kommen, daß sie vor mir einen Kuchen oder zwei mache und ich von ihrer Hand esse.

So Amnon lay down and feigned himself sick; and the king came to see him, and Amnon said to the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.
