R uben antwortete seinem Vater und sprach: Wenn ich dir ihn nicht wiederbringe, so erwürge meine zwei Söhne; gib ihn nur in meine Hand, ich will ihn dir wiederbringen.

And Reuben spoke unto his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I do not bring him to thee; deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to thee again.
