D enn als Gott der HERR gemacht hatte von der Erde allerlei Tiere auf dem Felde und allerlei Vögel unter dem Himmel, brachte er sie zu dem Menschen, daß er sähe, wie er sie nennte; denn der wie Mensch allerlei lebendige Tiere nennen würde, so sollten sie heißen.

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
