J osué déchira ses vêtements, et se prosterna jusqu'au soir le visage contre terre devant l'arche de l'Éternel, lui et les anciens d'Israël, et ils se couvrirent la tête de poussière.

Then Joshua and the leaders of Israel tore their clothes. They fell with their faces on the ground in front of the special box of the agreement until evening. And they put dust on their heads.
