J osué envoya de Jéricho des hommes vers Aï, qui est près de Beth Aven, à l'orient de Béthel. Il leur dit: Montez, et explorez le pays. Et ces hommes montèrent, et explorèrent Aï.

Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, Go up and spy out the land. So the men went up and spied out Ai.
