D epuis longtemps l'Éternel avait donné du repos à Israël, en le délivrant de tous les ennemis qui l'entouraient. Josué était vieux, avancé en âge.

A long time after that, the Lord had given Israel rest from all those around them who hated them. Joshua had grown old, and had lived many years.
