U n semeur sortit pour semer sa semence. Comme il semait, une partie de la semence tomba le long du chemin: elle fut foulée aux pieds, et les oiseaux du ciel la mangèrent.

The sower went forth to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden under foot, and the birds of the heaven devoured it.
