T ous tes alliés t'ont chassé jusqu'à la frontière, Tes amis t'ont joué, t'ont dominé, Ceux qui mangeaient ton pain t'ont dressé des pièges, Et tu n'as pas su t'en apercevoir!

All the men of your confederacy (your allies) have brought you on your way, even to the border; the men who were at peace with you have deceived you and prevailed against you; they who eat your bread have laid a snare under you. There is no understanding of it.
