V oici, l'Assyrie était un cèdre du Liban; Ses branches étaient belles, Son feuillage était touffu, sa tige élevée, Et sa cime s'élançait au milieu d'épais rameaux.

Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.
