E lle s'est prostituée à eux, A toute l'élite des enfants de l'Assyrie; Elle s'est souillée avec tous ceux pour lesquels elle s'était enflammée, Elle s'est souillée avec toutes leurs idoles.

Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all those that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all whom she fell in love; with all their idols she defiled herself.
