I l couvent des oeufs de basilic, Et ils tissent des toiles d'araignée. Celui qui mange de leurs oeufs meurt; Et, si l'on en brise un, il sort une vipère.

They hatch adders' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth; and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
