R éveille-toi, réveille-toi! revêts-toi de force, bras de l'Éternel! Réveille-toi, comme aux jours d'autrefois, Dans les anciens âges! N'est-ce pas toi qui abattis l'Égypte, Qui transperças le monstre?

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?
