( 51: 1) Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (51: 2) Lorsque Nathan, le prophète, vint à lui, après que David fut allé vers Bath Schéba. (51: 3) O Dieu! aie pitié de moi dans ta bonté; Selon ta grande miséricorde, efface mes transgressions;

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to the multitude of Your tender mercy and loving-kindness blot out my transgressions.
