E t pendant qu'on buvait le vin, le roi dit à Esther: Quelle est ta demande? Elle te sera accordée. Que désires-tu? Quand ce serait la moitié du royaume, tu l'obtiendras.

And the king saith to Esther, during the banquet of wine, `What thy petition? and it is given to thee; and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom -- and it is done.'
