E t toi, Salomon, mon fils, connais le Dieu de ton père, et sers-le d'un coeur dévoué et d'une âme bien disposée, car l'Éternel sonde tous les coeurs et pénètre tous les desseins et toutes les pensées. Si tu le cherches, il se laissera trouver par toi; mais si tu l'abandonnes, il te rejettera pour toujours.

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
