É lie lui dit: Reste ici, je te prie, car l'Éternel m'envoie au Jourdain. Il répondit: L'Éternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! je ne te quitterai point. Et ils poursuivirent tous deux leur chemin.

Then Elijah said to him, “Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.” And he said, “As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So the two of them went on.
