U n soir, David se leva de sa couche; et, comme il se promenait sur le toit de la maison royale, il aperçut de là une femme qui se baignait, et qui était très belle de figure.

At evening, David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. From the roof, he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to look at.
