Q uando gli Israeliti che erano di là dalla valle e che erano di là dal Giordano videro che gli uomini d'Israele si erano dati alla fuga e che Saul e i suoi figli erano morti. abbandonarono le città e fuggirono. Allora vennero i Filistei e vi si stabilirono.

And when the men of Israel on the other side of the valley and beyond the Jordan saw that the Israelites had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
