A llora tutti i malvagi e gli spregevoli fra gli uomini che erano andati con Davide presero a dire: «Poiché costoro non sono venuti con noi, non daremo loro nulla del bottino che abbiamo ricuperato, eccetto la moglie e i figli di ciascuno; li conducano via e se ne vadano!».

Then all the sinful men of no worth who had gone with David said, “They did not go with us. So we will not give them anything of what we have taken, except for each man’s wife and children. Each man may take them and go.”
