A llora Abishai disse a Davide: «Oggi DIO ti ha messo nelle mani il tuo nemico; perciò ti prego, lascia che lo colpisca con la lancia e lo inchiodi a terra con un sol colpo; non ci sarà bisogno di un secondo».

Then Abishai said to David, God has delivered thy enemy into thy hand today; now, therefore, let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear and pin him to the earth at once, and I will not need a second opportunity.
